The Adventurer: Tasman Glacier Heli-Hike

Explore the expanse of the Tasman Glacier, seeing amazing ice formations, admire the spectacular mountains and be awe-inspired by the pristine scenery. All guided by a highly experienced mountain guide.

Your clients’ breathtaking scenic helicopter flight departs from Mount Cook Airport.

· Flying Time: 8-10 minutes each way (approx.). Landing 1100 metres approx. Helicopter EC 350 Eurocopter or Airbus Squirrel.

· Up to 2 hours glacier time. Total trip time up to 3 hours.

· Departs daily at 8.45, 9.15, 10.45, 11.15 May to October, Plus 12.45pm and 1.15 pm Oct - April (subject to weather)

· Ratio Guide to Guests: 1 – 11

· Min Age: 9 years Min Pax: 4 pax

The Wigley: Top of the Glacier Hike

The ultimate trip, high up on the Tasman Glacier, at approximately 2200 metres. Fly on board our unique Ski Planes – a New Zealand invention with retractable skis, allowing the plane to land on both snow/glacier and at Mount Cook Airport. Explore the upper part of the Tasman Glacier (at approx. 2200m) on snow-shoes while being guided by a highly experienced mountain guides revealing the ever-changing amazing upper-glacier ice formations.

· Flying Time: 12 minutes each way (approx.) on ski plane where possible - a unique New Zealand invention.

· Up to 3 hours glacier time. Total trip time up to 5 hours.

· Departs daily 8.15 and 11.15 am NZ Daylight Savings Time. 11.15am Winter Time Only Departure.
